Client/Partner: 100Kin10

Location: New York, NY / Remote

Dates: 2016 - 2022

Context:

100Kin10 is a nonprofit focused on systems change in STEM education. They’ve built a coalition of leaders and innovators from the public, private and nonprofit sectors who work collectively to address the root causes of STEM education challenges. With hundreds of partners spread across the country, 100Kin10 needed support in creating resources that could better connect, inform, and resource their coalition.

Process:

100Kin10 worked with data scientists, organization strategists, and education leaders to develop multi-year initiatives, which were often highly complex. As the creative director on multiple projects, I led research and data analysis, crafted our communication strategy and visual storytelling techniques, and managed a team of designers to create graphics, print and digital reports, and various resources that aligned with brand guidelines.

Outcomes:

Over 5+ years, I helped 100Kin10 produce annual reports, industry publications, infographics, news articles, and workshop materials. These print and digital products reached tens of thousands of readers. Collectively, this body of work helped support 100Kin10 through a critical transition and ultimately played a role in their success in achieving their goal of hiring 100,000 STEM teachers in 10 years.
