I work on community development projects: affordable housing, food access, worker co-ops, and civic engagement.

 

Bio:

Gilad Meron is a designer, researcher, and strategist focused on community development and civic engagement. He has worked with design firms, community groups, and nonprofit organizations on projects that foster civic dialogue, build local capacity, and address issues of economic and racial justice. Recently, he worked with Community Action Pioneer Valley and the City of Northampton to develop plans to open a new coordinated service center to reduce homelessness and poverty. Previously, he co-founded a design collective in New Orleans that focused on civic dialogue and collective action, and led research on design and racial justice with the Association for Community Design. Gilad received a B.S. in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University and currently lives in Conway, MA where he’s constantly looking for a good slice of pizza.
